Dal 3 al 24 luglio 2010 i maratoneti dalla “Rosa Nike Team” del Kenia, la più importante squadra al mondo di corridori su lunghe distanze, si sono allenati all´Alpe di Siusi (Bolzano) per prepararsi alle competizioni della seconda parte della stagione agonistica.
Erano presenti allo stage di training estivo le più importanti stelle della specialità: Wanjiru (vincitore della maratona alle Olimpiadi di Pechino nel 2008), Kwambai, Lel, Cheruiyot , Chebon, Korir, Kutto, Choech, Kipchirchir.
Domenica 18 luglio 2010 hanno partecipato (naturalmente a passo d’allenamento) al “Seiser Alm Running Day", manifestazione sportiva dove i concorrenti hanno avuta la possibilità di confrontarsi con i professionisti che ne hanno condiviso la fatica, incitandoli e accompagnandoli sino al traguardo su di un percorso lungo 12,7 km.
L’ Alpe di Siusi è stata prescelta per il quarto anno consecutivo dai principali atleti della nazionale di maratona del Kenia perche, oltre che territorio di incomparabile bellezza contornato dalle cime dolomitiche lontana dal caldo delle grandi città, offre grande varietà di percorsi ondulati che costituiscono l’ossatura della preparazione estiva dei corridori su lunga distanza e la vicinanza della pista d’atletica di Ortisei per i lavori tecnici. L’altitudine dell’altipiano va, infatti, da 1.800 sino a 2.300 metri.

Sunday, July 18, 2010 they attended (of course by step-training) to "Seiser Alm Running Day”, sporting event where the competitors have had the opportunity to meet professional athletes who have shared the work, encouraging and guiding them until the finish line on a 12.7 km long route.
Alpe di Siusi was selected for the fourth consecutive year by major athletes of the marathon of Kenya because, as well as land of incomparable beauty surrounded by the Dolomite peaks far from the warmth of the big cities, offers a great variety of undulating paths that constitute the backbone of the summer training of long-distance runners and by the proximity of the athletics track of Ortisei for the technical work. The altitude of the plateau is, in fact, from 1,800 up to 2,300 meters.
